Today we’re going to look at how to put a calendar on your Desktop with GeekTool, and because GeekTool is all about customization, we’ll talk about how to get just the calendar you want.įirst we’ll create a really simple calendar on your Desktop. To do this you will need to select the Audio Input patch and click on the Patch Inspector button in Quartz’s toolbar. You should now notice the bars in the viewer begin moving, this is because the Audio Input patch by default takes an input from your internal microphone and processes it, we however want to have the input device to be our Soundflower device. With the Audio Input patch now in the viewer drag the button from the Spectrum output (you’ll see a yellow “string” begin drawn) and connect it to the Audio Spectrum (Required) patch already in the viewer.
